IP targeting(IPt)

Overview
  • 120h Duration

IP targeting (IPt) is a digital advertising method that matches a physical address (a household or business) to the IP address associated with that location, allowing advertisers to deliver digital ads to all devices at that specific location. This technique provides hyper-targeted advertising, essentially bringing the direct-mail approach online, to reach ideal customers and reduce ad waste by showing ads to specific audiences in their homes and businesses.

How it works:
  • Matching:
IP targeting platforms match a list of physical addresses to the IP addresses used by devices connected to the internet at those addresses.

  • Delivery:
Once a match is made, digital ads can be delivered to all devices (phones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs) at that specific IP address location.

  • Hyper-targeting:
This allows for highly focused campaigns, ensuring ads reach specific individuals or households, similar to sending direct mail but with the speed and reach of digital advertising.

Key benefits:
  • Precision targeting:
Advertisers can reach specific demographics or existing customers precisely where they live or work.

  • Reduced waste:
It minimizes wasted ad spend by showing ads only to the intended audience, improving conversion rates and ROI.

  • Versatility:
It can be used for both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing, targeting individuals at home or employees at a business location.

  • Enhanced campaigns:
It complements direct mail and other traditional marketing efforts by adding a digital component for a more personalized and effective message.
